The End of an Empire
After Pieter's death the Senate took control and ordered that all Ravenwold forces be recalled back to Ravenwold proper and after some years of negotiating the borders of Ravenwold were settled. Ravenwold kept its original territory, but nothing else. Even Galifar was granted autonomy. Ravenwold also promised to continue to help rebuild Caile after its destruction at the hands of Astregoth.
Ravenwold slowly began to return to a quiet backwater of Elyssa. The Grand Temple in Raven's Nest was eventually converted into a memorial to the dead. While much of the original religious artwork remains it was converted so that it could be used to show the story of what happened. The last remaining portal to the Astral Sea was moved to the courtyard of the memorial to the dead.
Belorin Ravencrest's body was recovered after the battle with Pieter and was soon interred within the memorial at Raven's Nest. The tomb of Belorin was carved out of the granite rock which once held Demonsbane in the center of the former temple's inner sanctum.
The Order of the Raven soon regained its former glory as the largest religion in Ravenwold. The Order regards those who in the last battle fought Pieter as saints sent by their god to do away with the false god who had lead their country astray.

Oh great so there is an entire order who didn't get the "no more gods" message? And what if Marissa takes over?

Re: The End of an Empire
The Order of the Raven never believed in the gods that people commonly referred to and as a result this is very realistic. I suppose it is possible Marissa could take over, but I doubt she will. The reality is that outside Ravenwold the Order of the Raven has very little influence.
Also Ravenwold is going to be fairly boring at this point. Ravenwold has gone back to a time when it was about the same size as Caile or Galifar. They have a portal to heaven, they grow cash crops, and they have a really good spiced rum. Other than these things Ravenwold is unremarkable.

I think the "Portal to Heaven" is a pretty big thing to ignore for the sake of calling it "boring".

Re: The End of an Empire
Its all very...relative. Yes, it would be interesting for us, but for people who lived in Evertide this wouldn't be that amazing. There used to be a lot more portals and now that we fixed heaven Kindulas will no doubt create more.
