Re: Dragonreach 2013-2014 Evil Plans and Ideas
Now, for the setting. Most of the basic worldly information about Dragonreach can be found in the Dragonreach description. The following includes recent events.
One month ago, a island fell from the sky. The impact could be heard all throughout Dragonreach and it leveled everything around it to the horizon. People often joke that you could hear the impact from the other side of the gates. Then, just hours later the city of Haven rose up from the shattered island.
Not much is known about Haven currently; its kept itself very isolationist for now. The city floats lazily through the sky and its ruler called "The Warden" politely declines any diplomatic offers saying that "Haven hasn't finished growing." Though its populace has already started to flock to the city, it claims to be a safe place for members of the Occult society that find themselves persecuted for being of a certain nature, it already faces opposition from the Whitefire Organization.
Whitefire is a group dedicated to stomping out Occult threats like werewolves, ghosts, vampires, practitioners of dark magic and devils. They've come out publicly saying that the city is an abomination, a "floating Haven for the craven nestled in the sky" and swear to destroy the island and everyone who lives inside it.
You all find yourselves in the town of Notved, a dinky little place that exists in the Borderlands. The Borderlands are a string of cities and towns that swear loyalty to Tyr'Morai in exchange for projection.
Almost three years ago something called "The Event" happened in the forests near Notved that resulted in the destruction of the town. Since then its been rebuilt, but the proccess has not finished and the woods nearby are a constant threat. Cursed with a sickly magical energy, everything that dies inside the woods is raised to unlife. The guards of Notved hold a nightly vigil, watching from the walls to make sure nothing emerges from the woods.
Not all the tales about the woods are entirely negative, there are urban legends among the population that people who survive the woods are destined to fall in love with each other. This has resulted in several couples that have gone missing, never to be seen again. If they ran away together, or fled to the woods is anyones guess.
You have all been in the town for a month now, having come to the town for your own reasons. Children, especially girls between the ages of 10 to 12 started going missing shortly before your arrival and continue to disappear.

Re: Dragonreach 2013-2014 Evil Plans and Ideas
GENTLEMEN, Ladies and Cripple
I present to you... A REWORKING OF THE UTILITY TALENT SYSTEM (its still for casuals)
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ApIQTosbDLqwlSZ3R4qlN-xg4e4WkIETK5jeM4LMQz8/edit
Couple notices
If you are lazy (Like me) or dislike change you do not have to switch over to the new system. It was designed to be able to be used in tandem with the old way of things. So, no pressure.
If a utility talent you like is not represented in the new ability system, feel free to take it anyways. It'll cost 3 ability points.
Forward all other questions to Kindulas@gmail.com.
