Oh idk, we have a Bloodmage and a Vampire in the party as it is, and like, idk, akdhfalkwfhqweifhqowehf.

Roughly these are the members of our party afaik:
-my Bloodmage
-Dan's totally-not-gambit/twisted fate Vampire
-Devin's Gold-plated Skeleton Paladin
-James' Magician
-Your character

I'll be honest, I don't particularly care for either yours or James' characters on the basis that the juxtaposition between the rest of the party and those two is rather extreme, and like, not complementary, just roughly and abrasively placed there. It's like the three first characters belong in a Dark Fantasy game while yours and James' characters belong in some bubbly high fantasy-thing.

I don't know, I'm not particularly enthused by him, but that's me, and I can do little to nothing to stop it but complain, which as far as that goes this'll probably be the last post I mention about it.

I agree with this. It's a very odd mix.
But that was my reaction when your dark characters were announced, also.

I may have posted my write-up only now, but Luke in essence was decided upon long ago.

So... yep, it seems we have an un-ideal composition. But eh, it'll work out.

Well actually I was working on an idea for making my mage's story a little darker and more twisted. He is probably more bent on killing or torturing the oracle who cursed him.Trust me Gonzo will become pretty dark

Well Really my character changes on the situation because he wants to be noticed because he is cursed to never be remembered. unless we run into a situation when we run into Gracemoral (aka the person who cursed him) In that case he is going to be as evil as he can to her.

That reminds me, are there actually Combat Talents that would allow me to make the kind of character I want, basically a sustain tank with moderate damage throughout a fight?

As for alignment... ahpffh I dunno, it's hard to explain.

I don't think there's really a way to have good damage and tankiness at the same time. There's just not really enough room. (far as I know)

Not necessarily great damage. Like, I don't want to be a tanky f@ck while nuking anything that looks at me the wrong way, I just want to be a little tanky through high HP, tanky through life gained from my enemies, and in turn since I'll be sustaining off of my enemies to drain them of hp to fill my hp bar (hence sustain tank), the damage should be like, not amazing, but moderate throughout the fight. I am thinking of taking one nuke or good amplifying ability so I have something up my sleeve (perhaps something transformtive, relating to my Werewolf powers... or I can just refluff the Hawkeyes again and get more static damage off of my abilities).

Idk, building a Blood Mage in the way I'm thinking of can be tricky, just because you want something that will deal respectable damage with sustain through the fight, but not something that will be unstoppable due to how binary the abilities work with each other.

Granted I do like being an unstoppable rage monster, like a berserker, but I don't really like the abilities Dan has for being one, and I have a very specific ideal as to how a Berserker should effectively work like.

Play what you want, bro. Yes, your character is the odd one out since you're the only one without tragic origins/not of questionable nature (unless you count Luke's inevitable hypersexuality), but I think it'll be fine in the end. I honestly think the contrast will be interesting, and if you're worried about the moral fiber of the group, at least you have me for a butt-buddy! And maybe Michael.

I'm contemplating something with ongoing damage, considering this might be the one and only time I might get to actually use it without it being entirely shrugged off and all the work built up gone to waste, but...

Wolf, you can go as a hot half-elf druid princess pirate if you want. Just be prepared for Luke to hit on you. (Unless he turns out to be gay, in which case you're safe and God help the rest of us....)

I'd just like to mention that due to the makeup of the party:

-Gold-plated Skeleton Wannabe Paladin
-Vampyric Blood Connoseur
-Cult Leader Bard
-Mad Mage
-an overly-optomistic furry

And since most of us are of the more... "interesting" of alignments, I'm going to be taking a harder look into whether I can actually do the kind of character I want to.

So guys, I'm switching to a character that fits in better with... not the party so much as the campaign.

Instead, I'll play Sonkei's Daughter, Talia Kaminari, age 19.

Cool. What's her shtick? Backstory/party role, ect.

Also... I'm not sure if I just made something really powerful or broke Ongoing Damage, but I did one of the two.

Well, her parents were adventurers who were known most of all for helping defeat the Iron Lich.

However, 10 years ago her parents dissapeared. She has tenuous connections to Haven because her parents were friends of Nehiel's.

She has also inherited her father's lightning sorcery. While she has significantly more raw power than he, she has very little control over it.

To express that flavor I'll... I'll be running thunderstorm

Actually... her father's turns took long enough. Just going to run a single-target nuke build
